Use a social trading app as a research interface

Seeing someone buy is a reason to look, not a reason to buy. Check the token yourself and compare their price to the price you would get now.

Being checked. An automatic check is done and the links work. A person still needs to confirm the facts.

Checked automatically against the review checklist. Links work, but an editor still needs to confirm each source backs the exact claim. (Automated check (not a human editor), 2 Oct 2026)

This is education, not advice on what to buy. Last edited 2 Oct 2026.

The short answer

FOMO's official materials describe a social trading experience with feeds, following, notifications and trader context. Its educational page on copy trading describes users choosing whether to act on another person's trade. That is meaningfully different from assuming every followed transaction executes automatically in your account.

Source status: these descriptions were taken from the platform's own materials on 1 October 2026 and have not yet been re-verified by an editor. Features, supported networks, fees and interfaces change. Check the current official pages before following any setup steps here.

Setting up

Begin from the official domain and current setup instructions. Verify funding and withdrawal requirements for your own account and network. A network that is supported for trading is not automatically supported for every deposit or withdrawal method, and availability can vary by region.

Treat supported networks, funding options, geographic restrictions, account recovery and order types as facts that require current verification rather than assumptions carried over from an older guide.

Choosing who to watch

Choose traders to observe for a reason beyond a leaderboard position. For each one, note:

  • The timeframe covered, and how many comparable trades exist in it.
  • Which trades you can actually inspect.
  • Whether displayed results are realised or include open marks.
  • Whether costs are included.
  • Whether a small number of positions dominates the record.

Platform displays may not expose every relevant asset, transfer or external account. A visible record is a partial record.

When an alert arrives

Record the event, then do your own work before considering anything:

  1. Identity — confirm the exact chain and address, not the symbol.
  2. Context — compare the original entry context with the current quote. Price has already moved; that is the nature of an alert.
  3. Independent checks — liquidity, permissions, distribution, narrative evidence.
  4. Your own economics — costs, size, full-loss exposure, exit method.

A good original entry can become a poor copied entry after price movement, fees and delay. Alerts can also arrive after the relevant move has finished.

If you place an order

Review the platform's current quote, displayed costs, expected output and resulting exposure. Afterwards, record what actually happened — acquired quantity, total cost, transaction reference — rather than relying on the appearance of a buy marker in a feed. Maintain your own exit conditions; the person you followed is not managing your position and owes you nothing.

Language to read carefully

"Gasless" interface language does not imply that every possible transaction cost disappears; check what is actually being absorbed and on which actions. Likewise, following someone establishes none of the following: their overall performance, their intentions, their complete holdings, or their ability to exit.

What this cannot establish

Platform marketing is not evidence of an API, a fee rate, or a supported network. Do not treat a third-party aggregator as proof of an official data interface. Where this wiki states a precise platform fact, it carries a source and a check date; where it does not, treat the statement as unverified.

Checklist

  • Setup steps taken from current official instructions
  • Funding and withdrawal paths verified for my own network
  • Reason for following stated, beyond rank
  • Alert logged with timestamp
  • Token identity, liquidity and permissions checked independently
  • Current quote compared with the original entry context
  • My own exit conditions written before any order
